Musgrove Willows, based at Westonzoyland, on the Somerset Levels was founded in the late 1920s and four generations later, we continue to grow high quality Somerset willow which is delivered throughout the UK and the world.
For centuries willow has been used for its strength, beauty and practicality throughout our homes and lives. In these environmentally aware times, willow coffins are becoming a more appealing option as sustainable alternative to wood. Musgrove Willow Coffins has developed its Somerset Range of Coffins and Ashes Caskets, each is beautifully and sensitively made by skilled basket makers, woven with the utmost care and attention to detail. Our coffins are therefore appropriate for burial, cremation, woodland and green burial sites. We are happy to undertake bespoke work and unique coffins can be made to your required size in 48 hours. Family members can also visit us to tour the farm or actively participate in weaving their chosen willow coffin by prior arrangement.
Our family firm and team of dedicated willow workers grow, sort and prepare the willow to the final point of coffin making entirely on the farm at Westonzoyland. Visitors are welcome at any time to see the work of the willow processes and weaving at first hand. Willow is hugely important to us at Musgrove Willows. Michael Musgrove is a yeoman of the Worshipful Company of Basketmakers and we are also members of the Basket Makers Association and Somerset Willow in Partnership. We therefore show commitment and dedication to the continuation of a traditional industry and the ancient craft of willow weaving.
As a family-run business we understand how to give the best possible service and product at a time when decisions need to be simple and straight forward.
